The Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a non-profit organisation that delivers an objectives-based programme for massively scalable, seed-stage, science and technology based companies. Its programme pairs founders with experienced entrepreneurs and investors to set focused, measurable objectives with the goal of maximising equity value creation.
Creative Destruction Lab Oxford offers four streams:
- Artificial Intelligence stream – supporting startups predicated on the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Health stream – helping technical teams bring their medical and biological innovations to market by providing access to accomplished business mentors, health experts, scientists, and investors. This stream will accept founders pursuing commercial opportunities predicated on translational science and technology innovations in the fields of health, medical, and life sciences.
- Climate stream – suited to technical founders using novel innovations and enabling technologies to tackle climate, natural resource and environmental challenges. Areas include energy, mobility, future of food, new materials, manufacturing, buildings and cities, waste and circular economy, greenhouse gas removal, and climate risk analysis and mitigation.
- FinTech stream – solving a diverse set of financial industry challenges, including data infrastructure, regulatory compliance, financial access including automated digital systems, instant payment systems, identity verification, and embedded finance. Suited to founders developing innovations based on the application of machine learning, data science and distributed ledger.
